“Yes Tigger, *now* you can bounce” is a line in the very old mailing list package called “majordomo, copyright 1992, D. Brent Chapman. All Rights Reserved. For use by permission only.

The comments say:

majordomo: a person who speaks, makes arrangements, or takes charge for another.

The comment relates to several checks: “We’ve checked for any Approved headers & lines, taboo_headers, and taboo_bodies” have been completed, so now, in the end, it’s time to “bounce” the message because of various errors in its processing.

Bill commented to Jill that he didn’t know what “Tigger” had to do with anything, and Jill commented that Tigger in Winnie the Pooh would bounce around. Sure enough, it is noted on the web that “Tigger from Winnie-the-Pooh bounces on his tail. Tigger is a fictional tiger known for his energy and springy tail. He bounces on his tail to reflect his enthusiastic nature.”

This is the mailing list package that Insulator Collectors On the Net (ICON) has used for 28 years! It had some special customizations, including a completely reworked digest format.

So there you have it! Everything you always wanted to know about “Yes, Tigger, now you can bounce!”
