I lost my Rowdy 12 years ago and I still cry and reach out for him at times. My basset that I have now is 10 and I worry for her and for myself. I am deeply saddened by your story and feel your pain and sadness. It does get easier with time but you will never forget nor should you. Treasure your memories of Charlie. We really enjoyed having her here when everyone came to visit and seeing her at your home. I do know that she had the best "daddy" she could have ever wanted. You took excellent care of her and now, due to her age and declining health, you had to say good-bye. We are so sorry for your loss and you have our sympathies. I know how much she will be missed, how much she loved you and you her. Love, Mom and Sonny It made us sad to hear about Charlie. I was so sad to hear about Charlie. She was a sweet and wonderful dog. I'll always treasure the moments when she was living at my place with you guys, especially the times I took care of her when you were out of town. I'll never forget when she busted through the barricade of chairs we had put up to keep her in the kitchen!
