I wrote a story about 2 mice that were in a shouting argument about who was right & wrong (damned catholic education)....I was made to read the "story" in front of the class. Well these 2 mice first woke thier entire street, then their entire city, then the whole country (because they were sooooo loud of course)....let me tell you...those 3rd graders were in absolute stiches. I was a HIT!! I really thought I had something going. The teacher actually hung my "story" on the wall for future classes to read. Ahh to reach your peak in 3rd grade!! In fact my impersonation of Curly from the 3 stooges at the end brought the house down....:-P JBean…yeah those 3rd grade stories are kinda painful…

I did the exact same thing with a 'very' string when I was in third grade too! We had to answer the questions at the end of the story and then read our answers out loud in front of our reading group.
