I don’t remember my mom taping this to the fridge.

  1. This is good and if I remember correctly is the reason you were chosen to be in the Gifted and Talented program, right? Not on the fridge? Most definitely it was…..it was a passing grade! What’s up with the D+? (Why not just a D or a D-)

  3. So, I gather this book was about how they made the ape look big and crush people’s cars. Am I right?

  4. LOL…..that reminds me of a story I wrote in the 3rd grade. It had to be at least 100 words long. It was very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very ….well you get the point!

  5. TD! I did the exact same thing with a ‘very’ string when I was in third grade too! We had to answer the questions at the end of the story and then read our answers out loud in front of our reading group. The teacher totally called bullshit and shamed me in front of my fellow ‘Red Robins.’ *hanging head* It still makes me squirm to think of it.

  6. JBean…yeah those 3rd grade stories are kinda painful…
I wrote a story about 2 mice that were in a shouting argument about who was right & wrong (damned catholic education)….I was made to read the “story” in front of the class. Well these 2 mice first woke thier entire street, then their entire city, then the whole country (because they were sooooo loud of course)….let me tell you…those 3rd graders were in absolute stiches. I was a HIT!! I really thought I had something going. The teacher actually hung my “story” on the wall for future classes to read. Ahh to reach your peak in 3rd grade!! In fact my impersonation of Curly from the 3 stooges at the end brought the house down….:-P

  7. There’s Mom!

Yeah, I think he crushed peoples’ cars, or something.

This may have had a 100-word requirement - it’s 99 words, if you count my name. Also, I allude to stating 6 important facts that I learned from the book, then proceed to list only 5.

If only I had turned it in ‘2 da’ earlier…

  8. You’ve just enabled kids all over to google your essay and turn it in as their own. (D+ not withstanding) Maybe you should charge a nickel a view…

It does sound like a fun book, btw.
